The beautiful song "Alright Tonight" was written by the duo ANDREW GOLD and GRAHAM GOULDMAN from the band WAX in 1986. The first version was produced by BERNARD EDWARDS in 1987 and appeared in the 1987 movie BURGLAR and on its soundtrack album. This version was recorded in 1986 featuring the band THE DISTANCE (BERNARD EDWARDS, EDDIE MARTINEZ, JEFF BOVA and TONY THOMPSON) on instruments along with WAX, with ROBERT HART, THE DISTANCE's lead singer, probably contributing backing vocals. The version on the album "American English" and the live version do not feature THE DISTANCE, instead, the musicians from the band WAX perform on those two versions. The three versions of this song are wonderful, but the best of all is the version produced by the genius BERNARD EDWARDS.
