Les CHIC prod. qui auraient pu se faire....

Post by frenchic » 24 Aug 2006, 16:00

FRANCK SINATRA !!!

La preuve !

Le chanteur qui on a appelé le "Mount Everest" produced by the worlds best producer.
C'aurait été vraiment magnifique.

What happened instead was that Sinatra went with Bono/U2 instead.

I look forward to l'interview.
At least someone has been thinking big here...

If you are going to think anyway,
think big.

Nile Rodgers is the Frank Sinatra in his class.

And Frank Sinatra is the Nile Rodgers of his class.

Perfection. Absolutement perfect.
But you know:

Frank Sinatra
Produced by Bernard Edwards and Nile rodgers
Name of record:
"The soundtrack to Paradise"

Did they really turn that approach down?

I want to show you some of my favorite records!
You might consider these records to good to be true also.......
************************
1. 1981, lp, Erotic Drum Band (as in POP POP SHOE WAH),
Produced by Bernard Edwards and Nile Rodgers
******************************
2, 1983, lp, LIME (as in ON THE GRID),
Produced by Nile Rodgers
*****************************
3. 1981, lp, Michael Jackson (as in "Don´t stop till you get enough")
Produced by Bernard Edwards and Nile Rodgers
**********
LP, 1982, DELEGATION,
Produced by Bernard Edwards and Nile Rodgers
***************************
1983, maxisingle, UNIQUE (as in WHAT I GOT IS WHAT YOU NEED),
Produced by Nile Rodgers
*********************************
1982, maxisingle, LIQUID GOLD (as in MR. GROOVY)
Produced arranged and conducted by Bernard Edwards and Nile Rodgers
***********************************
who also appear as instrumentalists on all the records.
********************************
The point is
that when Nile could take people, who had had absolutely no experience with music before, and make superhits for them like "Let´s dance" (the instrumental version is especially grand), imagine what heights could have been achieved with people who already were into music before meeting Nile.
Not to mention people who already were high ranking in the land of the good groove.
T-connection, K.I.D., Queen Samantha, Santa Esmeralda

M.J sur Don't Stop Til You Get Enough produit par Nile et Nard??? Où çà??? Et Quincy il est passé où alors???
Moi non plus je comprends plus rien...C'est peut-être un mauvais plaisantin le nouveau inscrit non ?

Is it a joke  ? Where have you found these "exotic" productions of Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards ?
There is NO Michael Jakson LP in 1981, only 79 "Off the wall" and 83 "Thriller" both produced by Quincy Jones !

THE POINT IS QUITE SERIOUS IN RELATION TO "produced by Bernard Edwards and Nile Rodgers". PLEASE TRY TO UNDERSTAND IT:

the point is
that these are the records I would have liked to see from them.

INSTEAD OF THE OBVIOUS
THAT COULD HAVE GIVEN EXTREME RESULTS
LIKE LIME AND THE OTHERS I MENTION
NILE AND BERNARD CHOSE TO GO WITH ARTISTS THAT UP TO THAT POINT HAD NOT COME UP WITH OUTSTANDING STUFF.

THE ONES I MENTION ABOVE WAS MY WISH LIST.
THESE WERE THE ONES I WAS SEARCHING FOR IN THE RECORD-STORES ALL THE TIME
(WE DIDN´T HAVE GOOGLE AT THAT TIME!)

TRY TO LOOK AT THEM AGAIN AND THINK WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF NILE RODGERS HAD CHOSEN THEM INSTEAD OF DAVID BOWIE & CO.

LIME
PRODUCED BY BERNARD EDWARDS AND NILE RODGERS

THAT WAS THE MUSIC-VISION OF THE CENTURY FOR ME,

BUT INSTEAD OF DENIS LEPAGE NILE CHOSE DAVID BOWIE.

VERY WRONG CHOISE BY A VERY VERY GOOD PRODUCER.
I ALWAYS THOUGHT THIS WAY
AND I CAME TO THINK ABOUT IT AGAIN NOW THAT I LEARNED THAT NILE RODGERS HAD TURNED THE APPROACH OF FRANK SINATRA DOWN.YOU PROBABLY DO NOT AGREE

BUT I DID NOT MEAN TO INDICATE THAT THE ABOVE MENTIONED musical wish list from back then WAS REALITY!

FRANK SINATRA
PRODUCED BY NILE RODGERS.
TO ME IT DOES NOT GET MUCH HIGHER.

I JUST WANTED YOU TO SEE THE OTHER VISIONS OF MINE UP THERE.

WOULDN´T IT HAVE BEEN FANTASTIC IF BERNARD AND NILE HAD PRODUCED FOR
Erotic Drum Band
LIME
Michael Jackson
DELEGATION
UNIQUE
LIQUID GOLD
T-connection
K.I.D
Queen Samantha

MUCH HIGHER VISION THAN
Bowie and them

ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU CONSIDER THE FACT THAT HE WAS ABLE TO MAKE SUPERIOR MUSICAL POWERPOINTS WITH BOWIE AND THEM.

I WAS A DEEP PURPLE-FAN BEFORE I HEARD THE FIRST CHIC-RECORD.
AS A CHIC-FAN THE PEOPLE FROM THE DEEP PURPLE FAN-CLUB SAID I WAS NOT A SERIOUS MUSICIAN.
THEN I MET THE DRUMMER FROM DEEP PURPLE (IAN PAICE).
HE SAID THAT HE HAD MET BERNARD EDWARDS, AND LIKED HIM VERY MUCH AND THAT HE HAD ALL THE CHIC-RECORDS AND THAT ALL THE CHIC-RECORDS, NOT JUST THE FIRST, WERE FANTASTIC!!!

NOW I READ IN THE ARTICLE ABOVE ABOUT
NILE RODGERS + RICHIE BLACKMORE.

I HAVE NEVER HEARD ABOUT THAT
AND I CAN NOT FIND ANYTHING ON GOOGLE.

HAS THERE BEEN A BLACKMORE-RODGERS PROJECT IN PLAN OR AN ACTUAL APPROACH (LIKE FRANK SINATRA) OR IS IT A GUESSED EXAMPLE FROM THE AUTOR OF THE ABOVE ARTICLE?
