Ca date de 1986-87, je connais rien de ce groupe mais ce titre post CHIC, hummmmm, que c'est bon : soul funk de luxe et vocals de rêve !

Je ne connaissais pas non plus. Effectivement les drums et percus sonnent très "Rythm nation" de Janet en 1986.
Le chanteur me fait penser à Collage "Romeo where's juliet" .
Les choeurs sont tip top et la rythmique assure un max comme tu le précises ; belle trouvaille !

Oui ils ont fait plusieurs maxis à l'époque (je dois en avoir 3 ou 4 dont celui là) mais à ma connaissance ils n'ont jamais fait de LP... c'est bien le son de cette période!
Le macaron montré sur la page You Tube est le label anglais mais je les ai en version originale en pressage US (faudra que je retrouve le label)
Il y a un autre groupe qui a sorti un maxi cultissime un peu plus tôt dans les années 80 et qui s'appellait INTRIQUE mais je ne sais pas si ils sont parents où si c'est le même groupe avec une faute d'impression.

I used to have a mint copy of this on vinyl but sold it when I Was very short of money a few eyars ago :(
It is Leroy Burgess track and the singers are some of the same as the other Intrique - but I think this group were spelt Intrigue. IT was on Chrysalis I think, on import form US (I am in UK).
Leroy Burgess is a legend - seek out a compilation of his work - it is called the Producer - absolutely brilliant an dbeautiful boogie productions - pianos, strings, vocals, harmonies. He was in a group called Black Ivory and his singing is on vol1, but vol2 - producer CD is the best.

also - a record shop in Putney London - they releasd a special compilation of Leroy's work too which is quite good. Best music shop in London if you are ever visiting . Nice guys and great soul disco etc.
