"I want your love" by Ray Charles & The Raelettes

Post by frenchic » 09 Jul 2008, 14:47

"...Georgia on My Mind'' began conventionally enough, but was brought almost to a halt in the middle before picking up steam again. After an almost mournful opening verse, ''Oh What a Beautiful Mornin','' which has long been one of his concert signature songs, was jacked up into double-time and became a smoking gospel-blues anthem punctuated by blaring horns. ''I Can't Stop Loving You'' was treated as an easygoing pop-swing number. Toward the end of the set, the singer introduced the current edition of the Raelettes, his longtime backup singers, who performed a hard-swinging version of Chic's ''I Want Your Love..."
