On apprend que les CHIC men ont à nouveau été contactés en 1981 pour donner un successeur au légendaire DIANA by CHIC.
La tension avait dû retomber entre les CHIC men et la Diva avait quitté Motown pour RCA.
Le succès phénoménal de l'album avait sûrement calmé les esprits.
Nos compères ont décliné l'offre, trop occupés à produire Debbie Harry et Johnny Mathis.
Cet album de 1981 Why Do Fools Fall in Love a néanmoins été certifié disque de platine.

Il est peut-être temps pour la Diva d’organiser enfin un retour avec Nile. Il est peut-être possible aussi que bien plus que huit titres furent enregistrés pour l’album Diana : du matériel inédit qui pourrait déboucher sur un nouveau projet.

Il y a le titre Queen du dernier CHIC de 2018. Il était a priori destiné à Diana qui n'a pas donné suite. Il faut bien dire que ce titre est d'un ennui mortel.

NILE RODGERS has demos and other beats that never became songs sung by LUTHER VANDROSS and FONZI THORNTON from "Diana" album sessions (1979/1980) in his extraordinary "The Lost CHIC ORGANIZATION Cassettes and Masters Tapes". I believe there is no demo or unrealeased song sung by DIANA ROSS related to this project. The demo of the song "I Got Protection" was sung by FONZI THORNTON as he said in a recent interview, I always thought that DIANA ROSS had sung in the demo of "I Got Protection", but FONZI explained what happened in relation to this demo. I'm not sure, but I believe there should be also some instrumental demos from the sessions of the album "Diana", in addition to the demos and other beats that never became songs sung by LUTHER VANDROSS and FONZI THORNTON.

Regarding the song "Queen", NILE RODGERS wrote for DIANA ROSS in 1984, maybe at the time of the album "Swept Away" in which NILE RODGERS, BERNARD EDWARDS and TONY THOMPSON participate, maybe there is a demo of this song in another extraordinary and gigantic archive: "The Lost NILE RODGERS Productions Demos and Unreleased Songs Cassettes and Masters Tapes".
