28 mars 2015.

I think WARNER record company warned us in 2015 that the sound of the new album would be very different because they wanted an album with a more modern sound to reach a younger audience also. But in my opinion WARNER record company also intended to launch the CHIC ORGANIZATION BOXSET VOL. 2, since NILE RODGERS has a huge collection of material never realized. An excerpt from a recent NILE RODGERS interview in which he talks about it:
"The studio we recorded at for years changed owners many times, and a lot of [recordings] ended up in basements, garages and attics. The current owners – a Japanese firm – found this box when they were clearing things out, and they didn’t want to be responsible for it because they had nothing to do with the recordings. So they returned it to WARNER BROTHERS, where someone filed it under CHIC, but didn’t check the content; that only happened when they finally digitised the analogue tapes in the archive. There’s enough unreleased material there to see me to the end of my days".
