J'ai toujours particulièrement adoré ce titre Hey Fool du LP 1982 Tongue in CHIC.
La quintescence du groove CHIC minimaliste : juste basse guitare batterie et une voix avec une petite pointe de synthé, pas de choeur ni de violon et ça donne un truc énorme

I agree with you FrenCHIC, I always loved this song, so I always thought the song "Hey Fool" very short, only 3 minutes and 40 seconds. A curious fact is that the reissue of the album "Tongue In Chic" in 2003 with the album "Real People" (2 LP's on 1 CD - 2003 Wounded Bird Records - I have this CD) the song "Hey Fool" appears with only 2 minutes and 58 seconds, I don't know the
reason but there was a decrease of 42 seconds in the song. Another curious fact in this reissue of 2 LP's on 1 CD is that the credits of the album "Real People" is incomplete (only 5 members of CHIC, without the rest of the CHIC OORGANIZATION) and the credits of the album "Tongue In Chic" is complete (all of CHIC ORGANIZATION).

Never see the version on 2003 Wounded Bird Records CD was shorter than the original : great strange find Alex !
I'mok with you, it should have be great is there would be an Xtended version of Hey Fool : maybe some DJ or remixer sould have the idea one day...

maybe they reduced it to put on all songs on the one CD ? weird. sometimes packaging lists wrong time of the track on teh cd though. Also - great track!

Tout à fait ok avec toi frenchic. Ce morceau en apparence simple résume à lui seul l'énormité du talent de CHIC.

Suffit de demander au Dance King qui m'a répondu : c'est Alfa Anderson qui est lead vocal sur ce titre magnifique

Oui ce titre est une merveille...je me le passais en boucle de temps en temps quand j'étais "en manque" de CHIC ;)
